Spring semester 2018 started on March 3 in Birdsprings, Navajo. Birdsprings Chapter (local government subdivision) and we signed the MOU for the tutoring school. We have three classes of Computer Coding, Math, and English. And three volunteer teachers devoted themselves to it, Jenny for English, Isaac for Math, and Morgan for Computer Coding. Isaac and Morgan are a couple, and Morgan is now working as a professor, Ph.D. at Northern Arizona University(NAU). Two Navajo people, Bessie and Nelson also joined to help us as a volunteer assistant teacher. Praise the Lord, who answered us!!!
We have prayed for a long time that a day like this would come. We had a lot of difficulties because there were no professional teachers in our school. We'd like to say thank you to Birdsprings Chapter officials and to everyone who prayed and supported for it all the while. And we ask that you still pray for this school in Navajo. Hopefully, some more kids will be attending on the next Saturday. Classes will continue each Saturday to June 2, 2018, except March 31, 2018(Easter weekend) and May 26. 2018(Memorial Day).
